I am passionate about the process of therapy, and I love my work as a therapist! I serve a variety of ages, from children to older adults. I especially enjoy the energy and insights that children, teens and young adults bring to therapy! I intend to meet each client with acceptance and compassion. It is my aim to collaborate with clients to reach their therapeutic goals and to explore the concerns that they would like to examine more deeply.
I am rooted in a psycho-dynamic approach which explores potential origins of maladaptive patterns in a client’s habits or relationships. Additionally, I utilize family systems to consider dynamics within an individual’s family or relationships that may be causing stress. I also incorporate the use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psycho education and solution focused modalities to provide useful strategies and insights that clients can utilize in their everyday life.
I have specific training in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TFCBT) to treat children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. Along with treating trauma in children, I also specialize in treating children and adolescents who are experiencing anxiety. My background includes working with older adults who are in caregiver roles, facing health concerns or anxiety.
All are welcome in my office! I will meet you where you are at in the therapeutic process. I look forward to journeying with you through the challenges and joys of life.
